Ace in the Desert: The MGM Rewards Slam Takes Center Court

You're in the heart of the world’s most iconic city, Las Vegas, and it gets even better with the presence of a generation of the world's brightest tennis stars! This weekend, the spotlight will be on the city's newest event, 'The MGM Rewards Slam,' featuring World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and a mixed doubles match with legendary and champion Andre Agassi. The all-star event will take place on Saturday, March 1 at the Michelob ULTRA Arena Mandalay.

To set the stage, or center court, Agassi will play former World No. 7 Mardy Fish in a doubles match where the two All-American players are tied 1-1 in singles matches. Afterwards, and for the final evening showdown, World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will clash with former No. 1 Naomi Osaka.

The Belarusian arrives from a hard-fought match in the Australian Open finals, and what better place than to collect her well-earned rewards at the MGM in Las Vegas. For all fans, it also arrives as one more and much-needed sporting event in a city that has been empowered with a Super Bowl and the roaring Formula 1, one of the fastest racetracks in the world.

In the spirit of one of the most famous tennis academies in the world the 'Agassi Academy' in Las Vegas, this seems to be one more step toward an exciting weekend and perhaps an even brighter tennis future in the Silver State, with a heart of gold.
